Bill Stevens,

Bill Stevens joined the Times as a reporter in 1977. He was the first on-site editor in Hernando County and over the years served as an editor in Pasco County, St. Petersburg and Clearwater. He took over as the editor in charge of Pasco, Hernando and Citrus counties in 1992 and held that position for 19 years before becoming a columnist. Stevens was a captain in the U.S. Army and is a graduate of the University of Texas.
